Department Issued Permits
Transportation Services/Parking offers one day scratch off visitor parking permits to the University of Alabama departments at a rate of $3.00. We ask that they should only be issued to individuals visiting your department that is not being reimbursed for their services or charging a fee to the University of Alabama. In order to assure that one day $3.00 visitor permits are issued in accordance to Transportation/Parking Services policies, please have your department head or Dean read, sign and return the agreement below along with the DTA to Box 870179 or fax to 348-8394.
- Do not issue to vendors, current faculty/staff or students of the University of Alabama. Any department found abusing the issuance rules will forfeit their ability to purchase permits at this cost.
- Each department must keep a permit log showing the permit number, the visitor receiving the permit and the purpose of their visit.
- The permit must be validated by scratching the day, month, year and displaying from the rear view mirror of the vehicle.
- Scratching multiple dates will deem the permit invalid and result in a citation to the user. Permits are valid for one day only.
- The cost of the permits are $3.00 each with a minimum order of twenty-five. The permits are sold only in multiples of twenty-five.
