2007 - 2008 Parking Information

Beginning in August 2007, the University of Alabama will offer a campus wide transit system. Because of operational requirements, the implementation of the will require the removal of approximately 339 faculty and staff parking spaces on campus. The majority of these spaces are located in the core of campus. On street parking will be removed from 2nd and 4th Streets, 6th, 7th, and 9th Avenues, Stadium Drive, Hackberry Lane, and University Boulevard (on campus). There will also be a partial removal of parking spaces from Capstone Drive, with the lane directly behind the Gorgas Library becoming a transit only lane. (View a map of the affected areas.)

Parking Registration is available on MyBama, link here to log in and register. you will need your license plate number.

If you do not wish to receive a parking permit for the 2007/2008 academic school year, you must go through the on-line registration and choose NO PERMIT.  Otherwise, you will automatically receive a regular green faculty/staff permit which will be payroll deducted over 5 equal monthly payments. 

All faculty/staff will be required to have their parking permit payroll deducted.

Faculty/staff on-line registration will close at 12:00 pm on June 29, 2007.  Beginning August 1, 2007, you may register for a parking permit at Transportation Services located in 103 Student Services Center.
